If you break it with your pick(was it?), it drops and it doesn't tele around.

It never comes back. It is the "End". When you kill it credits play. It's like Pokemon though, just hit the skip credits button after the elite four and go "the end? yeah right" because now you have a whole new place to explore.

He does drop Enderdragon eggs, but when you try to break them they just appear elsewhere nearby. For now... MUAHAHAHAHAAA.

More about the full version coming on Friday as I know it:

Bows can break.
Now if you have bad patience, time, accuracy or not enough of the other essentials needed in The End, the Enderdragon(named "Jean?" perhaps which is dumb) is even harder to kill.
Also if you kill it on multi so far it does not come back.

And thus why I suggested we gather a TEAM to go kill the thing. Also, you don't have to destroy the obelisks, just the beam projector at the top. That still requires scaling them, which is dangerous since normal materials are evaporated by the Enderdragon, but still doable. They are one-hit with just about anything. Then comes the dragon itself, which has 10 times the health of a Creeper. A fast, flying, armored Creeper. Get ten people in Diamond armor shooting at it for a few minutes and it shouldn't be too difficult. Also, consider that there are working potions now. They can provide health regen, movespeed, and burst healing. You could also use splash potions to hit it for direct burst damage and poison.

Hell, with all the new changes, the dragon might have to even be scaled up by number of players. It will one-hit players without armor by default though.

Also, Notch noted that the dragon is too easy if he can beat it. I'm wondering if he means alone or with friends. Because I doubt this is a boss most people could kill on their own.

I guess. Would be fine with a bunch of people sniping from the obelisks.

In about 72 hours of continuous playing. I don't think you have seen the obelisks heal... You have to destroy them, and that'd be hard as fuck with a bow and arrow.

Lots of food
lots of arrows
good projectile prediction
possibly friends who also have the above
=
Success.

Its [impossible] to do in non-creative. Even notch did it in creative. It was still hard as fuck in creative.
