GameRanger now available for PC!

Hey all you SOGsters, I just logged into GameRanger a moment ago - a place I don't visit nearly as much as I used to and I'm sure all of you can relate - the following message was presented to me. I know that the lot of you don't much prefer the GameRanger scene these days, but I still thought you'd...

Although my dedication to joining the crew on the COD2 scene hasn't been real strong lately, I have had a renewed interest in Ghost Recon. And, surely, this is heavily due to the fact that I was, for all practical purposes, away from the gaming scene for over 22 months. Gamewise, I'm still living in...

Hey fellas, So, this Mad Max guy...is he a player you guys came across on GameRanger or in the course of COD2 play on the Internet some other place? Is he even a Mac user and, if so, does he ever use GameRanger? Just curious. Oh, and speaking of GameRanger - that place is so dead these days! What gi...

I actually meant to bring that item up earlier. Since getting back, I've been busy with an assortment of tasks. Among these has included reuniting with family and friends, moving from one state to another, and, currently, getting back into the swing of things when it comes to being a student again. ...

A little CoD2 help, please?

Well...just picked up a copy of the game a few days ago. Ever since getting and trying to play it, however, I've continually ran into a freeze-up situation. Although I was able find one version patch @ www.macgamefiles.com(CoD2Mac1.3.dmg), I'm sort of wondering if there's either another patch I'm in...

I sure did. Well, actually I was completely done with my duties at that point in the deployment. My fellow soldiers and I were doing little else but sitting around waiting for the word to get on the bird. By the way, Blade, nice avator. That was my ride for the last...oh...roughly a year I guess. I ...

At last, my 22 month deployment is over and quickly slipping into the past. School is just around the corner. Right now I'm just bathing in all the downtime that I can possibly garner until the whole academics thing takes over my daily agenda. During my final week at Camp Taqaddam, Iraq, I hit up th...

Well, after playin' GhR with a number of my fellow platoon members, it's been impressed upon me that GhR does have quite a bit more of a learning curve than most FPS's. Needless to say, the lot of these guys haven't quite grown much of a liking for the game. It wasn't two day after we get out little...

I got a bunch of players now and our LAN is only expanding by the day. About a month ago my platoon had the plan that we'd invest in and install a LAN to later connect to a satillite-based Internet service. It's been almost two months now and the Internet aspect of the network doesn't appear that it...

Let me correct myself: When saying "packetloss" was what I was encountering, I impatiently made that conclusion in response to all the "warping" that I was encountering. I have noticed less less warping going on since I starting using ethernet cables and changed up the active mod...

Hey UnK, Ya, all is pretty good around these parts. I've been keeping fairly busy to say the least. It's really startin' to warm up around here. It went from the winter season (60-70'ish) to the spring season (80'ish) nearly over night. Well, at least I don't have to spend another summer in its enti...

Hey all, I've recently set up a small LAN amongst a few of my fellow platoon buddies. Our plan is to play some GhR games. So far it has just been a small few of us playing - just Mac owners. I've recently got my hands on a PC version of Ghost Recon and so now I can add a few more players to the mix....

From here on out, it seems I'm gonna be a tanker. Well actually, a Bradley driver, but when it comes to the driving part for big rigs like that what's the difference? Although it is a fair bit more resposibility to maintain such a machine, it is going to be a nice change of pace. This especially so ...
