Re: Imod

The advantage [of iMod] is the long lists are easily scrolled down as a list rather than waiting for gr to go down the list one by one. Sorry for necro-posting, but another important advantage of iMod is that you do not have to quit and relaunch the game when you enable large mods that change funda...

Re: Voice Communications - What is available for OSX???

Monoman wrote:Depending on the game alot of the Mac users use the built-in voice chat in GameRanger.
But GameRanger's voice communication is a feature only available for paid premium accounts ( http://www.gameranger.com/premium/ ), whereas Mumble is free! :)

Re: Texture Glitch - Alpha Channel (Semi-)Transparency "Tearing"

You need to fix the textures in Photoshop. You also need the RSB plugin for PC Photoshop to do it. Then you open the texture in Photoshop and export it as an .rsb. I don't remember what the settings have to be for exporting but I think it was 4 bit alpha. Then the texture looks fine when playing on...

GameRanger Now Available for PC (November 13, 2008)

Scott Kevill has made his online gaming platform avalable for PC users as of now ( http://www.gameranger.com/about/press/64/ )! Over 500 games are supported and there is a (short) list of cross-platform titles that can be played between Mac and PC users via GameRanger - Ghost Recon is on that list! ...

Re: Voice Communications - What is available for OSX???

Most people use Teamspeak now which the Mac version wasn't available when this topic was originally started. Yes, I know about Teamspeek/TeamSpeeX ( http://savvy.nl/beta/TeamSpeex-1.0beta-r406.dmg ), but a) it is proprietary technology / not open source b) there is only an unofficial third-party be...

Texture Glitch - Alpha Channel (Semi-)Transparency "Tearing"

I noticed a graphics glitch with many map textures that have an alpha channel for (semi-) transparent surfaces. In-game you can often see a "tearing" effect - diagonal stripes that appear e.g. on the surface of water. This happens for me only on Mac, while on PC the same textures look just...

Direct IP Dedicated Server on Mac (without GameRanger) ?

Is there a way to host a dedicated Ghost Recon server on Mac without using GameRanger? Maybe a CLI/non-GUI solution (OS X Terminal)?
