How do you change the terrain like that? I tried to make bloodgulch a desert and it didn't work. Edit the bitmaps there's a few named cliff and bloogulch/blood just change those to b30 snow detail from the b30.map or which ever map and copy over the new bitmap.map file into maps replacing the old o...

What Moxus said is right, but I'd like to add that in SwordEdit, the entrances and exits appear as cyan and yellow rectangles. Click on one and look at the bottom right of the window to see the item's name (when not under the Render tab). It doesn't matter where you put the teleporter entrance, so ...

I've played many times on maps where modders have altered the boundaries of the map.
Example players will be up on top of the cliffs sniping the other team.
Is there a way to alter that in eschaton and put teleporters to get up to the cliffs?

Eschaton isn't co-operating with me, I get the cliff_snow_detail and cliff_snow bitmaps from the b40.map recursively extract them, inject them into bloodgulch.map and rebuild. Can't find the rain tag on scenario or globals, I changed a black itmc tag to rain snow but still didn't work.....

^ not bitmaps. look in the 'rain' tag I did this and it didn't work: Opened b30.map and I tried b40.map as well. Then went to rain tag extracted it opened bloodgulch.map then expanded bloodgulch.map imported tag then clicked rebuild copied it to map folder and no snow:( I used Eschaton 0.8, any hel...

Editing Halo 3 .map files and using them again on an Xbox gets really hard unless the Xbox is jtagged. It WOULD be awesome to have an app like Eschaton that can mod Halo 3 on a Mac though. Yes that's it! We need one for halo reach definitely! Hopefully spark can help us, or better yet Bungie releas...
