Totally possible. Modify the physics tags for vehicles and set the gravity modifier to 0. I don't know how you'd do it for items, though.

Add a feature to the list: Automatic unzipping. Keep all .map files as .zip files. Leave the .maps named "bloodgulch.map" but name the .zips after the mods. Then use the program to select one, unzip it, and place it in the map folder.

Zooming on weapons isn't very hard. I gave the pistol a second zoom level of 8x. You just need the HMT plugin templates to find the offsets.

I couldn't find the right bit to make the character immune to falling. And I also couldn't figure out how to remove the stun.

I've made a mod that makes you jump 4x normal height and falls do no damage. You get a red flash and you are stunned for a second as i you got hurt, but the damage is incredible small. You don't even notice it. Try changing the bipd jump height and the jpt! falling damage.

You still need HMT's plugins to find the offsets within the meta. I posted this here because I figured that this is the next step up from swapping offsets, and everyone here has enough skill (hopefully) to make these kinds of mods. And I expect that we are all responsible enough not to spread cheapl...

Intermediate modding made easy

Here's how to do some more complex mods - not your average offset swap. 1. Download HexEditor (not HexEdit) 2. Download HMT 3. Download or open Offset List 4. Open map in HexEditor 5. Open HMT's folder, open the Plugins folder, and open the appropriate template file in TextEdit Now, for the actual m...

That's the idea. I was just wondering if you could still play CTF with an oddball. It might not work.

You could release a swap that makes the two flags oddballs... would that break a CTF map, or not? It wouldn't be Oddball, but it would be like "Capture the Oddball". A little extra protection for the "flag" carrier...

The question is, what did you use to find out the format of the meta section? I've looked at two or three sites and all I found was a standard offset list, with nothing about what the contents of the metas were. It has the offsets for them, but I didn't see any layout descriptions.

I already HAVE the offset list from another site. There are several other places that have it. I want access to the Dev board because there are some good mods in there and I want to learn how to make more advanced ones.

You realize that posting full games constitutes piracy and can get you kicked from the boards?

I dont really like TextWrangler. I use TextEdit, Appleworks, or NeoOffice instead. And BTW monoman, I asked for permission to go to the Halo Dev board and I emailed a mod that I made to you. It's a 5.4 Meg attachment.
