Re: I need Pillar of Autumn map!!!!
Copyright infringement is copyright infringement regardless of profit or not. Install from your CD. Make backups of the maps you care about and your saves and just install from scratch.

Re: How to utilize Mota's tag pack?
Mota's too lazy to do a tag pack that doesn't require crappy rebuilding.

Masks are black and white. It's basically the alpha layer.

Re: Skinning without a Graphics editor
I don't see why you wouldn't want to download a graphics editor to skin. Since skinning is editing graphics. Preview can't really do much.

Re: Macbook help!
Fun fact: most software isn't designed to exit. It's probably hardware so get a tech to look at it.

Re: Dev research: 3D rendering
Made in C++ with codewarrior is self-explanitory. Again, 3D is trivial once you have a handle on such things. And I was referring to the meta data of the tag. It's just that most of the meta data is also best rendered in 3D in one form or another. All the rigging information is in the meta not the r...

Re: Dev research: 3D rendering
Mod2 is really boring. It's just that some parts of it are overly complex. Mainly the rigging issues. The only good way to display those is in 3D.

Re: HDM Dedicated Server
I don't see the point of running a server OS for this. All the server related stuff you're going to want is handled by the application. Just something that can run continuously is all you'll need. Have enough hardware to run Halo well plus a few hacks for admin work (like removing the host player an...

Re: Halo Hex Codes (list of sites)
I wish we still had conure's auto-reverse-engineer-HEK-plugin-maker-app. There were a few bugs but it still worked in principle. Then HD death. I blame bungie's friends at team ninja. Anyways, almost all of those codes are already built in to existing plugins. Classic though.

Re: Open Halo Parser: Demo
The C/C++ stuff I wrote doesn't even bother with streams. It was really interesting watching it do full map loads of the BSP quickly. It uses the older block read method from C.
