argh, thats the way to increase the radar range, unusual for me now..

i mean, like when on radar you see a spartan or a banshee
the mp_warthog has the spartan's signal, the campaign warthog has the banshee's signal... if you.. understand... my... english. ._.

In other words, most vehicles (including the Warthog used in the Campaign) have larger RADAR signals than those of Spartans. The Mp_Warthog (Multi-player Warthog) is the only exception to this, as it has the RADAR signal of a Spartan as opposed to the larger one used by it's fellow vehicles. By importing the Campaign Warthog, you now make it so that all vehicles (provided that you no longer use the Mp_Warthog) have the same RADAR signal.

The only difference between these two Warthogs are their RADAR signal (as far as I know).

I'm sure there's some sort bitmask or enum16/32 that indicates the radar ping size of a vehicle, but it would currently be as of yet undiscovered. Perhaps some research into the raw data of the tag itself would yield results?

And btw, I think it might be prudent to add a disclaimer to the download stating that only those owning a copy of the full game be allowed to download. It's not exactly legal to distribute this mod otherwise.

Is the radar signal truly large, or simply trying to represent two or three smaller circles that overlap to yield one congealed mass?

As for finding that kind of thing, I'm planning on starting an investigatory project into H1 meta formats after the next release.

more people in the warthog dosent make the warthog work harder (working harder will cause more heat, more heat will do a larger radar-signal), halo is not programmed like this (i think).


PS: ooh, did someone saw the flood injection's radar-signal?
would be cool import it and apply it to... rockets or grenades :P
so you will see rockets on radar, but with a tiny radar-signal...

Very good idea. It would help if someone was launching long range rockets, or to help Banshee pilots avoid them.

Its a motion radar not a thermal radar because if so the Spartans would be invisible to it (sealed body suit) and your would see the ping of people standing still.
