Then you'd say Uneven Elephant. Lol.

And that was a space station anyway, it would make a cool map, but not a vehicle.

The Covi turret was meant for anti infantry, this is the Unyeilding Hierophant.

I opened up two new contest topics. I'm looking for space station scenery and spaceship vehicles.

EDIT: please note that Galaxy Wars will be released soon after these contest winners are chosen and the winning scenery/vehicles incorporated into the design.
EDIT2: on second thought, the winning space stations and spaceships will be incorporated into a "Galaxy Wars: Special Edition" - Galaxy Wars 1.0 will have a separate design.

Please tell me what you think of the space template!

Its verry niice. but is there any way to remove gravity? or have gravity only in certain places like on ships and stations.

It might be a bit easier for people if pieces of scenery were already imported into the map just not spawned.

I'm not sure about the gravity. Here's what you would do, I guess:

1. Eqip - set flag "unaffected by gravity"
2. Phys - change "gravity multiplier" to 0
3. bipd - set flag "flying" and change pitch ratio and speeds
4. proj - change "weight / arc" to 0

That just leaves the flag, I think. I guess it's ok if it remains elusive - this makes it more fun.

The purpose of the template is to give you an open space environment and give you the opportunity to import whatever scenery you want to include into this open space.

Galaxy Wars doesn't start from this space template - I've remade it from bloodgulch scratch, although it's as if I started from the space template. The template only took me 20 minutes to make, so I didn't mind redoing the same changes - I wanted to make sure both maps didn't contain miscellaneous tags.

I would have no way of knowing what scenery people want to use for their space maps. The halo scen tag was a present to inspire.

That works, also check my idea in the spaceships topic. Probably flying is more likely to work well than the bouncing.

Hmm.. flying would definitely change the dynamic of the game - we'd all be our own space ships :? I like the idea of gravity still existing in that we'd jump higher and sort of "space walk." This means less gravity than normal, but gravity is not entirely gone. Think of my older mod, Weapons Evolved - that's the kind of jump/walking we could have, although not jumping so high.

I agree, not extreme jumping but jump maybe just a bit more then usual and stay in the air longer.

Alright, I admit defeat.

I attempted to use a windowz computer, Halo CE, HEK and Entity, but I had absolutely no success in getting the required Entity scnr plugin to work. Also, Entity 1.6UE was apparently really buggy.

So after an entire day of trying to use PC tools to make new stuff, I learned that our Mac tools are so much better than Entity and the HEK/Halo CE tools. So despite Eschaton's lack of support for the full range of tag classes that are supported by Entity (because plugin editors haven't made all the tags yet), Eschaton - and Halo Demo in general - is so much better than Halo Trial, Halo CE, and PCs.

I also found that despite the fact that they have modelers creating new bsps and maps in 3dStudioMax, HaloMaps.org modders are totally getting owned by their non-user-friendly applications (HEK, Entity, etc.) and thus we can do many more things faster and easier than they can, but we have certain limitations they don't.

In sum, Mac wins, PC loses, but we need more supported tags. Case closed.

There could have been at one point, but unfortunately, it never came to be.
