We can't have several installments with differing tag types, because most tags also reference other tag types... so it will have to be one huge file (probably at least 500 MB).

As you know, most mods simply modify existing tags, so in order to include every modified tag ever released, I would need to be able to rename all those tags before importing them - a feature not yet present in Eschaton 0.7.2. It would be great to have some help with the project, too :) But until then, I can handle all the newly-named tags.

We can add the merely modified versions of tags (like a gagillion versions of the rocket launcher) afterwards and then create some sort of organized listing of every tag, including pictures from its use in-game. Thinking ahead, which map should we use for the purposes of these screenshots: bloodgulch or a plain map (like a white screen backdrop)?

The majority of the file size will come from the internalized bitmaps and sounds. Remind me again, does Eschaton 0.7.2 support internalizing sounds from tags ripped from CE mods that were converted using QAR? In other words:

1. I use CE to import several objects/weapons/vehicles/whatever.
2. I compile the map in CE and transfer it to my mac.
3. I use QAR (not Harbinger) to convert the map to demo/full tag setup.
4. I open the converted map in Eschaton and extract the tags and import them into the Incyclopedia.
5. I internalize the bitmaps and sounds - will this work if these things are inside the CE converted map, not the bitmaps.map and sounds.map files?

Thanks.

ya, i had the same problem spark. Idk if that works or not, from my exerience, it didn't because sometimes the bitmaps import successfully from CE maps, but sometimes not. And since there is no bitmaps or sounds file that comes with it, theres no way to internalize... >:-(

EDIT: this has nothing to do with this topic but.......where did sword go?

Should work, the only problem you might run into is a bitmap or sound that is not in QAR's index. Harbinger and QAR share the same index of bitmaps and sounds, but they only hold MP bitmaps and sounds.
Both QAR and Harbinger are in a way, limited by there index.
