Hey... I made a simple app to manage Halo Demo mods without having to convert them to PPF or anything like that and thought I would share it. It's pretty much a beta right now, but the basic functionality is working with almost no hitches. Feel free to try it and make recommendations! The app is available to download at the URL below.
If you want the source code or anything else, let me know.

EDIT: Whoops, uploaded the wrong version... that was the Debug version instead of the release one
OK, this is the final link (now compiled for Tiger also... I don't think I can compile it for anything below Tiger, or at least XCode won't let me...:

We already have one from `Yummy, but that one didn't recognize my original bloodgulch.map. We'll see if yours works for me.
EDIT: Ah, it quits unexpectedly. I'm on Leopard 10.5.7 on an Intel new aluminum Macbook.

OK, I'm pretty sure it's now compiled for both Tiger and Leopard, but I don't think I'm going to be able to compile it for anything lower.
