This application allows you to create and edit gametype files. Simply said.

Application and document icons were awesomely designed by TaxiService. I thank beta testers such as 002, Modzy, Hostbot, Taxi, and to anyone who I may have forgotten.

Info about using gametypes can be found on HDM.

This program will only work with Halo Demo gametype files, not Full ones unless you happen to be on a PPC or if you're running the non-UB version of full.

Mac OS X 10.5 or later is needed.

(For programmers, source code is available here.)

[EDIT]: This software does not work for HaloMD and is no longer supported. For educational purposes, someone can try to update it to work with Full/MD - it is a matter of byte order differences and lots of testing. Removing the deprecated garbage collection would be a good idea as well in favor for ARC or manual reference counting.

also, hey, if you people want you can save the gametype directly in folder 26 or 32 while starting a new game! :o so you just have to press a button instead of moving files and shit. 0_0 WOWZZZ thanks nil! XD

Awesome! I thought there were more than 5 gametypes, though? (Is there really a Targets gametype?)

yeah! it's, like, slayer with ‘kill in order’ rule on. o_o

what happens is that every player gets his/her target, and scores only if he/she kills him/her. o_o

i used to like that gametype, but other people didn't. ¬_¬ so, meh. ...also i cannot host anymore now. =_=

If you save the gametype name as Slayer in 26 or CTF in 32 you won't have to do that weird highlight Slayer/CTF thing in Halo.

Or you could use console to change gametypes..

I tried that today. Doesn't seem to work with AI though, unlike what somebody said somewhere ...

well thanks dicks! AIs does not count as players! >.< there is no way to make targets appear on AIs and to score points when killing them!

o_o or... maybe with some intense scripting in CE yes. but i don't have a clue about that >.<

That's what I thought, but it was a little too bothersome to make a targets gametype to test it ... until now.
