Mac Gaming Mods

I don't know about you, but I have always hated the fact that Halo changes my screen calibration to make it look ugly. And it is not just Halo, I know Doom 3 and a bunch of other games do it as well. When you launch them they will initialize and change the tint and coloration of your screen. Now you don't have to worry about that anymore. I wrote up a little app this afternoon that should fix that whole problem. Some of you might remember I wrote one a while back that did this, but only once. So I decided that since I had some free time I would fix it to work all the time.

Instructions:
1. Download the file, then decompress it.
1a. open terminal and type:
chmod 775
then drag the ReCal file onto the terminal window and hit enter
2. This should automatically open in terminal, but if not, then just open terminal, drag the `ReCal` file onto the terminal window and just hit enter/return
3. follow directions inside of the app

Why is that weird? you are setting permissions for the file to execute. I wrote it in C++, so you have to do that.

It really does make a huge difference in how the game looks. I know that Halo, Doom 3, and Quake 4 all fall under this category of changing the screen calibration. We should make a list of more as we find them.

In short, this application allow you to use your preset screen settings, not the settings other games force on your system before the game starts.

yup, it also reloads when loading maps as well, which was the flaw in the original version.
