Is there a possibility you could embed the full maps into the app in a way that they can be used for conversions but they themselves cannot be taken from the app and used/converted? Their sole purpose would be to allow those without the full maps to enjoy the "openness" of pearl to its full extent. I myself have not been able to use pearl because I do not have the prerequisites, this saddens me as it is an awesome and amazing program.

When you say any map, you mean any map meant for halo demo/ce/full right? Or do you mean maps from other games which would be nigh unbelievable.

Speaking of other games, conversions from stubs the zombie could be possible to implement, right, Modzy?

Yes, such a silly thing is possible. But it's far too illegal even for my standards. Plus it'd make the app like, a gig in size. So....

@nildo:
I suppose implementing a feature to *convert* Stubs maps would be possible. But by convert I mean just taking the BSP and other environmental tags and making them into a map. Converting Stubs would be a real pain in the arse 'cause of the model format, too.

I've never played it, but since it runs on the same engine, would you be able to mod it with esch?
In the spirt of openness, I've also added an de-protection tool.

After editing the header properly, yes, you can. I once got a Stub BSP into a Halo map and played around on it. I remember giving it to nildo and Dirk.

Not really. Just changing one value in the header and then exporting/importing the BSP into a full map like any normal map.

cool! did it ever come out for pc i wonder...
it came out for mac too! has anyone tried importing the tags into a CE or Full map?
