Does MCEdit or something work on it? We could copy the whole thing and bring it into the Beta server. But put it waaaaay far away from the spawn or something, so it's harder to get to.

Now if we add the classic map to the beta where should we place it? Also, should the area be protected or editable?

I hate protection. It just pisses me off. so I vote no protection(Lol this sounds wrong; shit theres a baby on my server, ???).

I vote no....and yes. We should edit out a large chunk somewhere and place it there, so long as it won't affect general gameplay.

If you use the map Mono posted on page 2 of the beta server thread (I think it's page 2?) you can indicate from there where you want it. Mono and I thought that top left area, with the water and the one little island, would work best, but the choice is ultimately up to you guys. I've already tested this and can verify that we are able to place the entire classic map (including the caves and everything below) into the beta map, I'll be the one doing it when/if the time comes.

Need to be careful with elevation, some objects in the classic map go above the top of the map. But, the top of the classic map may be lower than that of the beta map. I need verification for this, else I'll do what I did when I tested this on a map and have to put it just at sea level or slightly below. I managed to fit the one I did into place pretty well... *shrug*

I just get the black screen when I try to play, it worked the first time and never worked again. (This also happened to my little brothers computer)
Might try a different browser...

Use safari. Firefox doesn't work(assuming thats what you use).
