Nether Spawn.

So many of you probably don't realize that if you die in the nether, you now spawn in the nether. Well you do.

Monoman, I'd like to request this spawn be moved, or allow the chunk around the spawn to be edited. As it is now, dying bring you to a confusing and dangerous part of the nether (yes most of the nether is like this) but here you have no way to get your bearings unless you wander aimlessly for a bit you stumble upon a portal which brings you to around -500, 1000, which is a fair distance a way from any society. I was working on trying to make the spawn point more welcoming to people who didn't know what was going on, but the area around it can't be built on, so I am unable to build walls or light for people.

As for everyone else, what do you think about having a spawn in the nether? Where it should be? And how welcoming?

People do not enjoy coming out of the nether nowhere near anything but your house.
I think if it is moved or anything, it should happen in combination with the spawn area reclamation.
They're essentially the same thing, this is just more of a clamation. Which totally should be a word.

It'd make more sense if the root word was claim instead of clam.

Well, that actually sounds more like a word. Clamation sounds like a strange condition.
Anyway, the nether spawn should in my opinion just be a stone building and some roads to other portal sites.
I think that the nether being more about hostility should mean our spawn isn't exactly safe, just comforting.

ooh I guess I read it wrong. by spawn I thought the nether had its own spawn. nah I just wanted the portal at spawn but it didnt work because my house portals are closer to the nether portal. ill retry by destroying all my portals.

Did everyone want the spawn moved in the nether or have it go back to normal where you spawn in the main world?

You will now respawn in the main world when you die in the nether.
