Re: Massive Project
Like I said Idk how the void works very well, but in the nether I can go in and out of the bedrock layer. (If I can pass through bedrock I can pass through furnaces)

Re: Massive Project
Sounds like noclip. If so then thats just plain cheating. Anyone can grief without challenge if you cheat.
What you want to do is the equivalent of wall-hack aimbotting... LAME.
EDIT: Without cheating (flying would be ok in this case), try to get into this on the MP server.

Pics are a bit big, so links instead.
All walls are furnaces, except the one below the door. Also, there is a double layer around the door so that you can't just put down a redstone torch (if you can figure out how).
And I just realized that there isn't a layer on the front. Derp. Well, pretend that the hallway extends one more block away from the door.

Re: Massive Project
No clip doesn't work in MP... It's a lag related glitch.

Re: Massive Project
I don't know why, but it seems highly unlikely that you could get through the bedrock layer with just lag...
One question then: In the Nether, did you go through the top or bottom bedrock layer?

Re: Massive Project
Oh, you can. Believe me. Remember when we used to get kicked for flying? Well, it happened because of a silly glitch that didn't stop happening when Monoman disabled the kicking. This glitch consists in you "deleting" all the blocks you try to place a block on. You don't really delete them on the server map, but the client believes so.draconic74 wrote:I don't know why, but it seems highly unlikely that you could get through the bedrock layer with just lag...
So, uh, when you go try and placing blocks over bedrock (and probably over protected blocks too) they get deleted. And you can walk trough them! Then you have to disconnect if you want to do anything, and you reconnect where you were in your client!! o_o
…okay uhm, i don't know how much of this made sense? I hope the description i wrote is understandable. Btw this glitch isn't happening to me since a lot.
PS: i confirm that the height glitch in the nether has happened to me too. At least twice.

Re: Massive Project
I'm not talking about that glitch taxi.
And it happens anywhere (over world too) if you are (unproved but my observation) if you are in a 3 block high or less space. It may only be three blocks though if you're standing in water. When I was making that mob farm and even now, whenever I'm in there, I reconnect on the surface.TaxiService wrote:

Re: Massive Project
Ok, well then this isn't a problem. If you are getting above the map it is no big deal. You would have the same problem getting back through the furnaces as you would getting through the bedrock at the top of the map. Going up seems to be easy, but if you have never gone the other way, I doubt I have to worry.
PS: Lag related glitches don't count as proper griefing either...
Today I'll calculate just how many furnaces I need to make and then I'll rebuild that chamber closer to spawn. Should anyone crack it, a nice surprise inside they will find. And maybe a trap... Oh damn. I just thought of something really evil...

Re: Massive Project
Lag related glitches are proper griefing i would think... Then again having locked blocks is not proper anti-griefing.

Re: Massive Project
Oh I would like to try it out. I just installed OptiFine mod which allows me to actually Play Minecraft because for some reason after updating to Lion, Minecraft is lagger than usual and I always get the "stuck keys" and stuff every 10 seconds. Please post the co-ords of this once you're done?draconic74 wrote: Today I'll calculate just how many furnaces I need to make and then I'll rebuild that chamber closer to spawn. I can go both ways as I said.draconic74 wrote:Ok, well then this isn't a problem. If you are getting above the map it is no big deal. And if I glitch into your house, then put lava everywhere, it's still griefed.
