I think that they aren't so much criticizing exploration as the extent of it. I mean I understand what you were doing but there's a difference between creating a bot to fly in the background in a straight direction to the limits of the map instead of exploring on foot within the limitations of reason.

Found a village 200 or so blocks or so away. Laggged to shit right when I saw it. Went over and found about 10 creeper holes destroying most of the buildings and a hole of a shitload of exp. Wtf...

I was slain by zombies lagging my way around to find the 3rd site of dropped exp because it was still lagging to shit after picking up 2 batches of exp. So last coords I remember X109 Z224 or so. Monoman, please delete all dropped items, like exp. its lagging up the server bad.

General direction you were headed? Was it in the desert or the forest across the river?

Err... It was in the desert I think. But I saw a forest of pines. the village is actually only a dozen or so blocks from it.

My goal was 100,000. Whether I sat there for several days sailing and traveling by foot, or whether I left the computer on overnight while making my character fly forward, I would have accomplished that goal. So all you can do is criticize me for making that exploration goal, not the method in which I achieved my goal. The extent was the goal, which was not within the limits of your reason. Just be glad I didn't travel to 1 million, then.
