Old and new

Post by icebulb » Wed Dec 21, 2011 8:00 pm

So, I have this strange and mostly annoying issue. Basically, on my desktop, since it is a bit old, almost four years old to be exact, when I try running mods or add ons on it, Minecraft simply won't open. So then I look to my extremely slow laptop, which will work. But now I have another problem, some how on my laptop, my Minecraft folder is not in application support, and when I go into the bin, there is no Minecraft.Jar file, but Minecraft still runs! Strange! If some one can please enlighten me on what I can do to my computers to enhance the play of Minecraft, that would be greatly appreciated.

Well, there are at least two Library folders on a mac (plus one for each additional account). One is in your HD, the other is found in your Home folder. You might have been looking in the wrong one! The correct one is the one in your Home folder.

Yes it always works on my laptop, I have not tried it on my desktop yet but I believe it will fail. I successfully installed zeppelin mod single player commands and world edite

As of 10.7.2 compared to 10.7, is ~/Library/ still hidden by default(without Terminal)?

Usually my library folders aren't hidden, in fact they have never been hidden.
