This is a bit of a bizarre story, so I thought I would post it up...

A long, long time ago I wrote a post on this forum saying 'goodbye' to the classic GhR. And in all honesty I really thought it was goodbye!

...I left my Mac gaming to play - first of all - Novalogic's 'Joint Operations' on the PC, the got into 'Battlefield 2' and ended up on 'Call of Duty 2'...

Finally I dabbled with 'Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter' - but wasn't completely bowled over...But it did start me playing the GhR series again competitively on the PC.

But then I played GR:AW2 (multiplayer demo) - WoW! And I looked for a clan who played it and joined...And this is where it gets funny!

These guys - 22ndSAS clan - also STILL play classic GhR!

And they have what they call a Ghost Recon 'newbie night' where they introduce new gamers to the classic game...Well I said 'what the hell!'

SO - here I am - after all this time RE-INSTALLING MY CLASSIC GHOST RECON! LOL

:)

- I might even try to play online with them using my Mac version running on my 15" Power Book!

WEIRD!

:D

LOL - I can foresee me filling up my hard-drive with mods again! :D

Here's the standard mods 22ndSAS clan run on their classic GhR set-up:

HX5 and DA49

HX5 I remember, but DA49???

But two mod packs seems reasonably managable - and it's not like the old days when it took ages to download the packs anyway. So I will give it a whirl...

Their next 'Classic GhR night' is TONIGHT! - so I better get downloading and installing right away...

As I am sure I will be really rusty...BUT - I can't wait to see what good old GhR will look like under my Nvidia 8800GTS...

FINALLY - I can have EVERY setting turned up to max! LMAO!

;)

Nice to speak to you again, Mono!
