New Map - The Outpost

Post by Vir2L™ » Wed Aug 18, 2004 1:01 pm

TG Map 1 - The Outpost - By H-Hour, Sarc, and El Oso.

One of the better 3rd party maps i have seen for GhR. Great attention to detail, even the command map is hi res. I would put it up there with some of the Frostbite maps. (Infact you might recognize the name El Oso from Frostbite, because he did alot of the work on that expansion.)

I highly recommend this map.

Cool map, you were right. NICE terrain and sound zones. Now it needs some missions. Plays fine under firefight and recon and other game types. But it screams for actual some missions! It's actually a rather large map but the FPS is super good. And the command map is a nice touch just as you said (the opposite of the usual barf command maps).

ya the FPS are great!

I was hosting and had everything on high except for Map detail was on medium, and it runs smooooth.

We need some badass, no respawn missions for this badboy.

One helluva map. Leary did a fantastic job with his mission as well. In fact, it makes the map! Yar. Will be back Sept 1 to play it some more because now I am off to New Mexico for more shooting!

Should I take the 7.62 M4A1 and the MM1! I think soooo!

Thank ye verily!

Marathon: took me 45 minutes on RECRUIT with no respawns (A.I.).

You spawn upstairs in the two story building. An assault keeps coming and coming through all of the doors downstairs. There is a tank patroling outside. And tanks stationed around the hill as well, positioned such that if you peek over the edges of the hill - wham! .50 cal right atcha, IF a tango doesn't get you first....

If and when you survive the initial assault, the counter attack begins, but they're more patrol like.

You have to go out and find 4 sams and wipe them out. But be careful there are roaming tanks protecting each one and enemy patrols in the trees.

Once all 4 sams are done with, then extraction becomes possible.
