Alpha Squad MOD 2.2

Post by Vir2L™ » Wed Apr 13, 2005 9:24 pm

Yeah, that's right! Alpha MOD has been updated again and we have converted it to meet the PC equivelant as well as fixed a few minor cosmetic things we missed when converting it last time.

Now available for download here at MGM.

Many of the alpha 2.2 weapons seem to make me crash.

The only gun so far that has not made me crash is the g3k. I tried a couple of the others- the acog and two others - and would crash immediately upon the mission launch.

I wasnt sure if it was the weapon or not, but I was just playing using the g3k and eerything was fine. Oj was having the same problems with repeated crashes so I reccomended the g3k to him and I switched weapons. Sure enough I crashed and Oj stayed in the game.

Just thought I should bring that to your attention.

Check your ike.log also, it often leads to the cause.

I assume all of the other mods would be activated when I join the hosts game correct? Or in this case would it be best to self activate the required mods when joining a room hosting Alpha 2.2?

Vir, I'll have a look at this ike.log but I have a feeling I will have no idea what I am looking at.

That's a strange one.

Are you able to play the Alpha Mod without it crashing if you are playing by yourself? Does this only happen when you join another persons game?

I would suggest re-downloading the Alpha Mod and checking if it has the same problem. I have a feeling your version is corrupt.

On a side note for all readers:
We had to reconvert the DAMNr6 version of the DTD Team MOD because it wasn't converted 100%, and the Alpha MOD was looking for the files in it that weren't converted. So if you dont have the correct version of DTD Team MOD that is available here at MGM than you will experience errors in the Alpha MOD 2.x series.

Thanks Vir, I've not tried playing it by myself but I'll give it a whirl. If I have the same problems I'll try another download.

Another note to all users..... I would suggest taking the older version(s) of Alpha MOD out of your mod folder.

This might be the reason why some of you are crashing when you are on someone elses server. GhR might be looking for the files in an older version of the mod and it's getting confused, so to speak.
