Mac Gaming Mods

Hi, I've got a problem with GR AND Raven Shield.. better to say a colleague has the problems. I use a 2x2Ghz G5 with a GeForce FX 5200, my pal a 2x1,8 GHz G5 with the same graphic Card and yet both games run considerably slower on his machine (say only about 30 % of my performance).

Why??

Is there a "to do list" to get the fastest out of the Game?? I have placed both games in my shared User - he placed his on his second partition. Otherwise there is no big difference. I even have more Maps and Mods in my Folders.

We both run 10.3.4 and are not able to change that (company policy).

Put the game in Shared User: yes.
I noticed the difference when I didn't.

OK we've got a Partial solution to the Problem.. I run the Game with 1280x1024 which is my Desktop Resolution, my Partner with 800x600 while his Desktop Resolution is also 1280x1024. Changing his Game resolution to 1280x1024 gave him a big speed bump. Don't ask me why but it helped a bit..

You were both running it at different reses.

So when his desktop and his game run at different speeds, they try and force it to a different frame rate size......it's a processor glitch..

Learned it in Hacking 101.
