Warhammer
Warhammer
Does anyone else play Warhammer? I was wondering, since I personally find it a lot of fun to build and paint, and as soon as I paint an army I may actually play the game.
Here are a couple models I painted fairly quickly, maybe 30 min. each, though I only had three colours of paint and most of the painting was experimenting with techniques. Many things I couldn't do, such as washes or proper shading, since I didn't have any washes or black/white paints. The light-blue/white marks on the soldier may look like mis-painted paint, but were really my very poor attempts at battle-scratches. The models themselves are about three years old from when I assembled them but never painted them (except one which came out extremely poorly). I'm planning on buying an army to paint etc. You can see some really well painted models here and here.
Anyways, any other takers? I'm assuming with the artful spirit going we could have an art contest or something.

Haha, what a waste of money.

No but seriously, I'd consider it if I were good at painting and had plenty of disposable income.

Re: Warhammer
It's a hobby i'd take up if I liked the gameplay. I make alot of model kits myself.
Re: Warhammer
3 - 4000pts Eldar, and i'm building a 1850pt Tyranid list.
Does this answer your question?
Also to anyone who doesn't because you're bad at painting, you get so much better over time, i started when i was twelve and..... yeah not so good.
6th Edition comes out next year, so the gameplay will change significantly i'm hoping, as many parts are currently broken.

The gameplay is very much the way you'd play an RTS, only with more dice rolling and less structure building and micro-management.

Re: Warhammer
I have no idea what is going on in this thread.
But I do know that smashing things with a giant chain-sword is fun. Also, stompy stompy.

Re: Warhammer
I believe it should be next summerish. They still have a lot of really expensive units and some outdated wargear like the control node or some stuff about a target priorities test.Smythe wrote:Eldar are still 4th ed too :/ Tau will be getting an update soon i think.Yarok wrote:Tau is still at 4th and Necrons are even at 3rd ಠ_ಠSmythe wrote:3 - 4000pts Eldar, and i'm building a 1850pt Tyranid list.
