Halo: Reach Forge World MGM Edition.
Halo: Reach Forge World MGM Edition.
Let's start posting ideas of what we can create for an all purpose terrain. Since we don't know prices yet, everything will be considered unofficial ideas until the game is released, then we can organize better.

Re: Halo: Reach Forge World MGM Edition.
Monoman has a floating platform in the sky with teleporters to each major section. He has snipers/lasers and can hit anything in the map from his position. He can block all the teleporters and be in places on his platform from where he can't be shot. No one is allowed on the Mono platform who is not Monoman.

2 fort with 2 launcher, and Cannon
Re: Halo: Reach Forge World MGM Edition.
Awesome human firebase with at least one Falcon and one 'hog. And a bunch of positions that you can easily hold out in.
EDIT: That sounds fucking awesome. I'm gonna make that in Halo 3 right now.

Re: Halo: Reach Forge World MGM Edition.
We could have one bigass member war.
Idea :
In that little colosseum-like box in forge world we could make some kind of labyrinth.

Only you would think of doing something that we can do easily in halo 3.

Re: Halo: Reach Forge World MGM Edition.
We should probably start with the knowledge of Forge World's terrain we already have.
Generally Speaking, There's Alaska which has small flat-ish rolling hills, lots of greenery and a very wild feel.
Montana is a rocky, mountainous area with lots of different angles and some more reliable cover than Alaska.
We should know more about the canyon game-play properties than almost anyone else (I would hope), we've been modding in it for years.
The rock is a baseplate, playing on it requires some editing, but it makes epic looks.
The Island is like a watery horseshoe with some trails and a very big-team feel.
The beach is a nice peaceful area with a long line of sight and narrow ways to move around. Very Straight-forward.
The Lagoon is beautiful with waterfalls and other nice looking water.
Coliseum is a big box. Huzzah.
Then there are lot's of in-between areas, a lot of step-like cliffs, and general rolling greenery.
I think these are pretty accurate assumptions to make, no?
That being said, we should probably start with the gulch (I think this has some sentimental value, it is very much the home of our Halo fans in my opinion) and start out with cliffside walkways, possibly man-cannons until it moves across down to the beach (Or maybe the lagoon, I dunno) until we create a nice bridge too the island where I think there could be a pretty hangar full of falcons and other airborne pieces of metal where players can move more freely throughout Forge World with landmarks that describe memorable things throughout MGM (A Crossing in the Sky Even!). A lot of Small recreations of modded maps and probably some labels built of the building blocks we have 99 of per block.
Oh wow... Wall of text-ish
BTW, Personal preference, I think that Barrier should be in this.
