I'm thinking about getting a MBP here. o_o and yeah, i'd like to hear your opinions on what would be best to get off the apple's website!

For instance, i'm gonna get a 15'' one. 13'''s too small a and 17'''s too big. :p
But what about the memory and stuff? o_o for example, the one i am most prone to get is the middle one in the store page:


now, i was thinking about doubling the memory on it; but making apple do it costs 390€s D:
Is it possible to do that after? like, buying a ram card and put it in later when it arrives? what would the costs be in the case? o_o


Also what about the screen? o_O

What would you get? i'm not sure, but probably i'm going for the middle one <_< 'cause it has the same resolution as my house's computer, but is glossy; and i've heard good comments about those screens! o_o


and lastly, what about the graphic card? o_o this NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 256MB... how is it? o_O
i recall a time when you could choose what type of graphic card to mount, but it appears that you cannot do that anymore! D: so yeah, are there any big known issues about this card? what will and will i not be able to play/do with deez?

I have the 13-inch, and it's awesome.

Get the best one you can. Also Antiglare would come in helpful..

like, i recall that the antiglare and glossy screens didn't add anything to the final price. -_- god dammit apple! now your screen has to be HD to be able to choose, and antiglare costs 50¤ more than glossy. DX

Spring for the i7 if you can. Thats what I did, and I'm happy with the choice. Won't be buying another computer for many, many years.

In fact, it is fast enough that on games like Portal, Prey and Bioshock I get the "good" kind of screen tearing, where the computer is working far faster than the monitor's refresh rate. Not sure why V-sync didn't work in Prey, though. That was kind of annoying.

anyway FUCK, MAN!! Once upon a time choosing between glossy/antiglare screens was free, and you could choose to mount a less capable hard drive. D: BUT NOW YOU CANNOT ANYMORE, DAMMMMMIIIIIITTTTTTTT >_<

i remember that when that stuff was still possible i used to click the Select button below the third 15" one and make it's HD smaller and stuff... BUT BLARGH!!! >_< ...anyway thanks for telling me that!

yeah I'm also considering the 15" pro but still thinking about other options
for ram just go with the default cheapest because it's easy to upgrade on your own pretty sure

... That is amazingly easy. The only question is what a new chip that works on Macs and is better than your old one costs compared to the price of buying the better one. Also, you cant upgrade the i5 to i7. That's a different story altogether.

Choose the minimal RAM, apple ram is way to expensive and you can buy the same ram from online vendors at way less prices that you can install later. Same with Hard Drives.
