Yes this is a bad thing but it's not the end of the world. This is just some bad that was brought to light. If this lowers your faith in humanity don't even think about the stuff the mafia does or the yakuza or cartels.

Mafias have organized crime. They commit crimes on people that may possibly deserve it. A young girl, that man's daughter, who has a mental condition is beat for some deranged values that he holds. The mother joins in instead of acting against.

This man is a man who believes that children have no rights, and do not deserve to have an opinion. He has stated that, if there is a question as to whether or not an act of abuse happens, the culprit should be asked whether this allegation is true or not. Should the culprit deny these claims, all charges must be dropped.

This same person judges others' actions on these principles, and other principles that may not be public.

Also: I have to agree with Kiyoshi, I mean sure it's bad and definitely a glance at America at it's worst, but there's also murder and torture. And sure, he did it with no possible justifiable reason, but many people in positions of power abuse that power.

I lost my faith in humanity a long time ago.

I'd like to see charges; that's appalling as a standalone offence, let alone considering he's a judge.
