mono, shouldnt there be some kind of size limit to an avatar and signature image?

I'm on broadband so i really dont care, but I'm just lookin out for the 56ker's out there.

The only reason I haven't put a limit on avatar and sig banner size is that its not really a problem right now. I mean Stryker is the only one with a sig banner and I haven't seen anyone with a avatar that is huge. If it gets bad the sig banners would be the first to go. As for avatars what do you guys think is a good size? I hate 80x80, it restricts too many good avatars.

I like 150 x 150 (height by width) for avatar. I enables many good ones and stops people dumping huge pics there.

I was wondering how to make an animated avatar.
Anybody with an idiot proof tutorial for a old noob like myself

It really easy if you have Photoshop. Just go into ImageReady. You will see a window which shows the frames of your image (if you transferred one of your images to IR). These frames will become your animated gif. This should get you started with how to make them.
