I use screen mimic which ain't free. Copernicus is free last I checked. Haven't played with it too much so can't say how well it runs.

Snapz with no watermark. It's doable just screw around with the Package Contents.

Jing. Not great for games but free and easy for anything else.

Snapz for depth and quality, and fucking crazy file sizes. Screenflow if your on leopard for speed, reliability and quite low filesizes with decent quality. But hands down snapz wins with quality. Our kill the zombies short was filmed with screenflow if you want to see a good demo of it. Everything else though is filmed with snapz. I just recently perfected my quality settings. What I thought was good quality back then was horrible. Now my vids are very smooth with 30fps with very clear picture :D. so yeah..

Snapz

Screenflow

ISHOWU takes up to much ram on my 512MB. it was impossible for me to make the GTA remake, then fonzie gave me screenflow and i was like YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i dont even have to convert it to MP4 like ISHOWU because of the huge size of every file, while screenflow exported at a .mov and super small file size and very good quality.

BUT!!!! i use ISHOWU for games because it records audio and i always play in windowed mode, not full screen and screenflow cant record a certain area. for example, look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsa-NkbLOQY

see how almost have the screen is missing when u want to record only a specific part
