OS 10.3.5 + Raven Shield + Crash

Upon upgrading to 10.3.5 I have experienced the following issue in RS. After joining an RS game and waiting for the current game to expire, as the host server loads the next map, RS crashes. I have tested this on several different hosts and have had the exact same results. I have no issues with the single user mode, this is purely a networked gaming issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have yet to update because of the rumours of this very same problem.

I am skeptical.

Yea, there are many people having problems with the update. I would try deleting your RvS preferences and repair permissions to see if the problem is corrected.

I had to reinstall the whole game today. I'd be trying to join a server and I'd crash upon reaching the game. This started last night after i ugpraded to 10.3.5 i should also reset permissions now that I think about it. Things seemed fine after the reinstall though.

Well I trashed the plist, repaired permissions and still can't play on another host. I can host however. Feh. I know the update to 10.3.5 included new video drivers but I don't think that is it.

Holy Flying Cow, Martha - will you LOOK at that Ravenshield.log report it will make you go insane. Nasty errors... it text could SMELL, this surely would.

hmm.. so that's wut happened to u just now.. but it seems i haven't had the problem, i joined d_pict's room and played just fine..

what ur sys specs tim?

well, right now we're not too sure what is causing the problems...

but the only major different between tim's comp and mine are our video cards, he's running on a nVidia GF4mx while i got a ATI radeon 9000pro... we think it is the nVidia driver that is causing the problem...

RAS, what are YOUR system specs?

edit: also, keep in mind that ATI is a proud rvs sponser

so probably it's better optimized for ATI cards... well maybe that's only PC, iduno

All is fine here now I think. I hosted and played.

I went back to earlier operating systems for both my HDs that have an OS on them. Game's fine.

I don't reco going to 10.3.5 due to *my* difficulty. Not everyone has the same experience with 10.3.5.

So there you go.

Now, were are my beauty and brains? Pres ?
