COD/UO, new player

Hi all,

I just picked up call of duty and united offensive last week.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting started with online play?

Which mods are popular and/or necessary.

What are some good servers to play on? I play ghost recon with a pretty mature group of people and would like to find similar people to play call of duty/uo with.

There are not many posts here, are there any other COD communities, pref mac based but not necessarilly, that I can check out.

Any other help or info for a new player would be great.

I don't know of a large Mac based community for this game. I know alot of Mac players have the game, just no community like Ghost Recon.

For mods, I would say the Revolt and Heat of Battle mods are the most popular. Both of the mods are currently on MGM but I'm pretty sure they are old versions. CoD is on my list of current updates so I'll probably have the current versions up a few days after Christmas.
