Call of Duty 2 [Modding on Mac]
Hi all !!
Well for those who got CoD 2, and want to modify it on a Mac, its realy simpel and possible !
Needs: Your Apple Computer
First locate the data files, they are in your /Call of Duty 2 Data/main/ folder, yes the .iwd files !
How to unpack ?
If you got Stuffit, just drop it on the Expander, it now shoud expand it self, it also works with the build in ZIP-archiver.
Now you got all folders/files that are in the .iwd file, yay
Now you can start editing files, like adding ammo etc, i havent personaly found out yet how to open and edit the .dds and .tga files, i kno theres a dds plugin for photoshop, but tga just wont open, il try later with Graphic Convert( after i found it )
Packing.
To pack all folders again to the .iwd file, simply select all the folders inside the main folder:
And ZIP them, using Stuffit or a other program, does not mather.
After you packed them, change the name to the original, iw_13.iwd in my example, then place it in the /main/ folder.
More stuff will be posted soon, if you find out a good program to edit the image files, do post a link !

Hey. I'm kinda out of date i think becuase, i had no idea that you could mod Call of Duty. It seems so realistic and almost seems impossible to swap guns and simalar stuff to that topic...
Is it possible in any way, to mod Call of Duty Demo? I would find that fun, swaping guns, adding guns, etc. Just like you can do with Halo Demo. Both Demos... I'm sure there is a way, just not expressed and detailed on a topic that has the name of "Modding CoD 2"...
Well, if someone can provide me with facts and topics on the, "can and how-to", of modding Call of Duty Demo, I'd appriciate it. Thanks
