Skins on Mac?

I've downloaded some skins from fpsbanana, dragged them into my main folder on call of duty but when I start the game it doesn't work
any tips?

What skin did you try? Do you have any other mods installed?

I downloaded it, then just dragged the .iwd file to call of duty 4 -> call of duty 4 data -> main.
I do not have any other mods installed.
also, can I use it on any servers or on modwarfare servers only?

You need to place it in Call of duty 4 -> Call of Duty 4 Data -> Mods.
Then in the main menu for CoD4 choose the mods option and it should be on the list along with a mod that comes with your game. Launch the mod and enjoy your new skins.
