Well I looked them up on google and all I got was International Women's Day lol. If you could say where you got the files from its would help.

it turns out its a compressed file type for COD2 that is easily "openable" in Stuffit that contains the data for the game....

Which means you didn't try "opening" it in Stuffit before you resorted to create a topic? Z0MG!

*.iwd are just locked *.zip folders just like *.pk3 & 2s. its very easily to executed with out a high tech program like 7-zip.For windows just right click on the file of your choice, extract(decompress) its contents, and move them to your preferred destination. For Macs (which I'am new 2) U can use the archive utility by left clicking your item of choice or holding control + left click and open. If u don't do not use a mouse like me than (hold control+left click) on the item of your choice On both platforms u can also use and go to the menu bar for renaming the files and executing them (it helps). You must high light the icon by single clicking with the left mouse to use the menu bar properly. For those of you who don't know what the menu bar is, it's the area were (File, Edit , View, etc) are located up above.

The .iwi files are images files similar to dds format but custom to Call of Duty. I have not seen a converter for .iwi files on the Mac. There are multiple converters on Windows that will convert iwi to dds.
