Star Wars: Empire At War

I found this game on my hardrive, and i was wondering if you can mod it. I know you can mod it on windows, but i wonder if there are any mac mods.


i've been google-ing so don't tell me to google : P

Frankly, any game is moddable so long as you can open up the app a "show package contents" or if there's an external data folder. A good example would be Mountain Tanks. The bitmaps and obj files are all unprotected. I've turned the tank into an artillery piece. O_o

Yeah, there is a total conversion mod called halo: first offense, and it is empire at war except halo..like halo wars.... but i think it is for PC...

The PC mod may still work on the Mac version. You might need a PC to open the mod as many PC mods come as installers instead of as a zip file. Once you get the mod's files though the installation for Mac and PC are normally the same.

good think i have bootcamp and can send files from PC to Mac : P

Whats sort of computer do you have??

If an eMac then no boot camp for you.

You need intel. i believe.

Sorry for double post


but hex editing changes stuff like variables and numbers, so would it be possible to change the unit limit on a map?
Would Hex Edit work on a map from this game?

Nothing. Its en executable file so you need a Windows Simulator or Operating Systems to open it.

Is there a specific way back in the old days you guys found a string of code that effects a certain part of the map?


like how did you guys find out what each code does? was it all in experimenting?
