ive been recently trying to play halo mac with a xbox 360 controller but i cant seem to figure out how to use an xbox 360 controller with my mac.i have controllermate and the 360pref pane... so if you could please help. id really appriciate it. Thanks.

in the bar at the top right of your screen theres a b thing for blue tooth

ind i think xbox360 is bluetooth so try that

The Xbox 360 controller is not bluetooth. It actually uses radio frequency, I think?

Well what you go to do is.

1. Get a bowl and put safari in it.

2. add some letter in this order "connect xbox 360 controller to mac"

3. at the button "Return\enter"

4. look through your mix for any downloads from versiontracker.com

5. Then put your mouse on the downlaod

6. And let it cook for about 20 seconds.

this topic seemed interesting to me so i tried downloading that application..i tried all the aplications mentioned but how do you use them? my 360 controller is sitting infront of me trying to find something to connect to...how can i use the application/s so that my controller will connect to my macintosh and work for multiple games?

I don't know how many drivers there are for 360 controllers, but the one I got puts a new pane called "XBox 360 Controllers" into System Preferences. It's reliable, nicely organized, and has a couple helpful features that most controller-supporting games lack :3

I tried this with a gamestop controller, the sticks are really sensetive...

XBOX 360 = USB!!!
