Are there any other games that have free online and you can download. Well just games like Halo. So post other games that are downloadable to play.

Try wolfenstein. Even though its pretty old, graphics and others are awesome.
the free version (legal download) is enemy territory and its only multiplayer. I play return to castle wolfenstein, the original version with single player, but its not free.

America's Army has always been free (for computer versions). It's a recruitment tool so of course they're giving it all away.

If you want something that feels like halo, try one of the marathon games (any flavor). Some people have done updates where it uses a newer engine. The Alepha One project seems like they're doing a good job.
