Any other amazing RTS?

Post by seabeast » Sat Feb 28, 2009 9:36 pm

I got Stronghold 2, played it on my dad's Winblows and fell in love with RTSs.
I got Command and Conquer. Beat it.
Then I got AOE 3, beat it, got the expansions, beat those. Then I got AOE 2 (backwards xD) and beat that. Didn't like it as much but it consumed time.
Then I got Warcraft III, beat that and the expansion.

And now nothing really compares up to Warcraft III's epic storyline/abilities/graphics/characters. And there's 5 days until Halo Wars comes out! I need something to plaaaaay! I've tried Starcraft on a friend's computer and hated it for some reason. :| So I need a new RTS! Or I'll die in between now and the time Halo Wars comes out!

Taxi, don't brag about your stupid region getting things faster.

I thought he said "religion" for a second and thought "THAT'S FUCKING GAY!"

Uhh, you've played just about all of them.... AOE 1? Lol.

By the way, you play warcraft? WHat's your battle.net name?

In hay-low-wars?

That should at least be a cutscene element; Albatrosses are what your firebases are before they reach the land. I believe there were albatrosses in the "field trip to harvest" preview... or just buildings with pods attatched to them.

Ever play Fire Emblem? The ones for Gamecube and Wii are immensely epic.

You hate Starcraft? As you are a person who plays lots of RTS's, I must call blasphemy. Starcraft set the ground for Warcraft which set the setting for WoW which used the ground from Diablo to set the ground for all future MMORPG's and dungeon crawlers. SUPER BLASPHEMY FTL.

Starcraft is to RTS what Halo is to FPS. or what N64 is to 3D gaming.

You can't just go ahead and say something is gay, that's wrong use of personification.

"Welcome home! How was work?"

"It liked men in sexual ways."

¬_¬ I hated the control bar at the bottom. I hated the units. And I hated the storyline. It's too future-y.

Too futury? O.o

I actually cannot come up with something to respond to that... wth.

Anyway, what makes you think Halo Wars wont be too "futury"? Also, the Starcraft and Warcraft bars are practically identical. And alot of the units can be converted over (except heroes, and far less units in SC have special powers). And what was bad about the story?

Lawlz. I always think that too when people say it. Then I start laughing for "apperently" no reason.

Actually, I don't think any weapons and vehicles in the Halo series are too futury. Except those giant capital ships and the Halos.

^Yeah. It's like a modern-time warfare game. Except with different planets and ships.

Remove the Human weapons and their land vehicles and you are left with everything that is "too futury". Thats a lot of stuff...
