Eschaton .7 Bug (Altimit get better beta testers)

Alt i am not saying this is your fault but you need to make sure your beta testers are thorough well i found this you know the reff swapper? it has a bug with swapping scen tags

i was testing out .7 and all its features (i am not even a beta tester XD anymore anyway)

i had to use .6 depp swap to swap out scenery

there is also a bug fonzie told me about with physics thats not fixed in public version

in the end beta testers your job is to thoroughly go through the app testing all functionality witch by this it seems some slacked off just to get a beta so they could make uber mods :lol:

Invariably things will get past beta testers. The only cases where that occurs are when a tag class description contains the four characters of an other tag class and that first tag class description happens to belong to a tag class that precedes the actual tag class. Ever notice how Eschaton is listed as 0.7? That's because it's still incomplete. Everyone is a beta tester until 1.0. Some people just get private betas to make sure it works on other machines and systems and to make the public betas not completely fall apart.

And if fonzie has found a physics problem I'd appreciate it if he would post the info. More than likely it's a bad plugin if anything.

i have a few feature suggestions XD well good thing i was testing all the features

can u add scnr re-maker taht will alow us to make custom scnr files

and can u add a feature to remove tags from the map so when u rebuild they are not there (i have some ideas this may help with)
also one last feature ability to inport models like HMT 3 and mabee a way to add animations :mrgreen:

Removing tags is a bad idea for a couple of reasons, and there's no real benefit to it unless it's something very large like a scnr or sbsp tag which are very much essential tags. Everything else has either been suggested or considered and is either outside the realm of a modding app (this ain't prometheus) or planned for later versions.

lol actually it was for SP-MP conversions XD i mean so when u import a new bsp it will remove the old one from the map thus what i mean by tag removal

Like to thank modzy for bringing this faggotry to my attention,

now.

The troublesome Physics Tag, Along with the buggy Island, Why didn't I post these? Because they just happened today, And I have been making Machinima, Working With Kyoshi / programming pretty much all day, So forgive me for not posting it the second it came up. But god knows tyler was quick to bring my bug to Altimits attention.

Now.

From what I've relalised from modding the island was the if you use the Unrebuilt version of it, Eschaton .7 Basically takes a gigantic shit. Matter of fact, all eschatons do.

Let me go into more detail.

You cannot Flip Vehicle bits. Like making Driver Invisible or Making a Camera 1st Person.

you cant do basically SHIT, Barely any meta editing unless its simple. Anything extensive like.. idk.. swapping a fucking vehicle doesn't seem to work.

But back to the Physics..

I try to swap the physics of a Warthog to a Banshee, But no, Its swapping POINT PHYSICS. And it does this on every map.

Althought Eschaton .6's Phys Swapper Worked just fine.

Thats all I can give you, It's late as hell, I'm tired, And I haz much moar programming to do.

Sorry if I sound like a dick, Im not trying to be, Im just tired.

Swapper issue has already been addressed. The thing about flipping bits would mean that none of my beta testers ever used a bitmask editor then. Unrebuilt version probably means that the map is not fully built properly. I'll have a look at that to see what the matter is.

Tyler, stop making assumptions.

Using your logic, I must be a crappy beta tester for finding out that the rebuilding process was so broken that you could only rebuild one tag at a time. Yup... That must mean that I suck at beta testing.

oh yeah, what else was that?

How many bugs did you report with your eschaton .7 beta internal 1? hmmm?

Because we don't ban 'round here. It's trivial to avoid and mono likes allowing guest posts which removes the most effective mechanism. (banning accounts/emails that have to be reregistered. inconvenience them enough and they'll eventually give up)

RIght now the established theory is that anyone that doesn't have an account, will post anonymously on a public account labeled Guest. What someone (forgot who) theorized is that people without accounts (A.K.A. Guest) posted enough to reach the Veteran status. Case closed.
