ive hit a speedbump......
ok so i imported ramps and some other stuff into bloodgulch and placed them using swordedit and even rebuilt the map but for some reason whenever i try to test it halo either goes unresponsive or quits completely. does anyone know how i could fix it?
BTW any help in this mod would be highly appreciated

Re: ive hit a speedbump......
It could be any number of things. Chances are, data was corrupted, uncorrected, or left out in the importing process, causing Halo Demo to crash when you try and spawn the objects.

It might be the gametype you are using. If you only used one gametype, try the other. If that does not help, I've honestly got no clue.
Re: ive hit a speedbump......
FYI, rebuilding the map is not an option, in order for the map to work you NEED to rebuild the map. Otherwise it just crashes.
Re: ive hit a speedbump......
You might not be able to fix it. Your best bet is to tell us exactly which steps you took, and to do it again after we've reviewed and corrected your process.
Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.
Re: ive hit a speedbump......
sudden thought could the problem be that i did it the old way? u know with hhk and hmt?

Re: ive hit a speedbump......
It would be problematic if you didn't take all the correct steps using the old methods. Now it's suggested that you only use Eschaton to import.
Also, you can only save once per SwordEdit session. Otherwise, it corrupts/destroys the map.

Are there plans to correct that bug? ^^Sparky wrote:Also, you can only save once per SwordEdit session. Otherwise, it corrupts/destroys the map.

I don't really understand you but nevermind. One tip: If you are using Swordedit, and after you save your project but leave the app on to do further modding, if you save again, the file is most likely to crash. In simple words: Swordedit might crash bloodgulch if saved more than once.
