Eschaton 0.8.1 can open the CE map and directly extract the tag(s) that you want. And if a tag is protected, look at its mod2 to identify it, then rename its associated tags.
If you use the renaming method, don't release it to the INCY. The INCY only deals with originally-released tags, so for example, the bloodgulch base included in the INCY is the one that has broken collision (sorry, but that's the way it is).
