Is there a way so you can fly and only melee?

You can find a tutorial on how to make MC fly in Fonzie's latest modding pack. To make it so that players can only melee either turn off all bullet damage or make all guns start off with 0 ammo. I would suggest the second method because it is easier. To do it, open a map in Eschaton, go to the WEAP tag, click on a weapon, go to the Clip, and turn them all down to 0. Do this with all weapons accessible in the map.

And for the weapons, I like to use Eschaton 0.6 because it's easier for me. Click on a weapon in the WEAP tag - Click Clip - Short Integers - Turn everything in there to 0. Your plugins may be different, but it should be somewhat similar.

Once you got your fancy buddy flying, the quick way to make Melee the only way to deal damage is to null out the projectile for each starting weapon: If the weapons can't fire, all players can do is melee. A slightly more sophisticated way would be to import a weapon which only permits melee, such as an Energy Sword.

Flight is not CSS, as far as I know.

It is but it gets quite laggy.

Hence making it almost impossible to shoot someone who's flying; the target's location is shown with every ping, but the target uses the physics/speed/etc. of the client map, resulting in the flying person appearing to constantly teleport up. There might be a way of doing this CSS, however ... I remembered playing a game where speed was CSS. idk how it's done though. Maybe memory mods?

yes i used to memory mod when i hosted sometimes. speed hacking is quite fun.
