well you can also mod the contrail, as most bullets are not seen.
And... what kind of projectile are you talking about? Bullets? Plasma bolt?
If it's plasma, most have an effe tag for it's color (like charged plasma pistol and fuel rod) i recommend going into that effe and color-meta edit it.
I'll go into more detail if that's what your looking for. but do give more information.

Use the needler and change the colour of the bitmap to red and null out the MOD2.

If you're doing any plasma-based weapon, their physical projectiles are primarily made up of their Mgs2. These tags have an assigned color in their meta, which can be modified using Eschaton.

If you're doing projectiles which have models or contrails, you'll have to skin them in order to change their colors.Steps:
- 1. Open your map in Eschaton (I'm using 0.6.1, but this should also work on 0.8.1).
2. Navigate to the Mgs2 tag class, and select the tag you want to modifiy.
3. In "Meta Editing", click on/navigate to "Frames". Within "Frames" there should be a colors tab. Open the tab.
4. There are two color values within the tab: "Tint Color Hither" and "Tint Color Yon". The function of the two values is to allow for the color of the Mgs2 to change when perceived from different distances. Since in you want the color to be a constant red, change both values to the color of your choosing using the Red/Green/Blue values, or the color picker.

Re: How do you change the color of a projectile?
You can't skin Plasma; the Plasma effect is generated by the Mgs2 tag, which doesn't use a bitmap (unless you want a lens flare).icebulb wrote:...you can also skin the plasma...
