Use Eschaton 0.8, there are multiple tutorials on what you can do with it.
open your map in eschaton
find proj
edit the meta values.
can't go into more detail as i'm off to school.

in proj for how long it lasts it is either proj or JPT
switch to HMT plugins and find Proj life or something like that. change that. it depends on the speed like needlers...

For some reason, projectiles are handled differently based upon what type they are. If they are mgs2 (light volume)-based, then adjusting the lifespan under the proj tag will not help. For regular projectiles, like bullets and rockets, adjust the lifespan in the proj tag.

You may not find what you are seeking right away. If you don't see it with one plugin set, use the popup menu at the top of the window to switch plugins and look around the metadata some more. Plugins are like filters that point to different areas of the tag data. You should download my plugin set in case you don't have it already; it will help you much more than the default starter plugins with the tags that I've finished mapping so far. Look in the forum for "Sparky's Eschaton Plugins", should be on the first page right now.
