It'll crash every once in a while too.

But, I can see some things I did in Hex, and it's definitely fun to play with.

I'm on an Intel, while my map was the Original BG that was with Demo.
(i'm on intel too, if cares)

hum.. i tried a thing...
i edited the spawn points of some thing in the island, this is what happened:

a c_storage was moved from the blue base to the internal part of the blue base (the shaft), but it just disappeared :? i couldnt find it anywhere on island (maybe it gone inside the island...)
same thing happened with a rocket warthog, that i moved from the red base to V933...
then, i moved the bad spawn point near V933 too, but, it was like i didnt do anything, because the bad spawn was still in its original point... (if i explained right)

mmmhm... questions? :P

I have edited this post because I am now having this problem too. I can't seem to move an object without it disappearing. The only difference is that I am using the PPC version.

On the other hand, thank you Zapconquest, that link worked much better.

I have another report. Someone else couldn't even get it to work. The computer was a PPC, and they were using the correct version.

I use both an Intel and a PPC. I tried this out on my Intel mac and it worked fine, it crashed plenty though. Then i tried it on my PPC and i had the same problem as the people above had :?

Ok you people must doing something wrong. I'm on PPC and this is what I do it works fine.

1. Find the map I want to change and put it on the desktop.

2. Using Demo Hack I convert the map from demo to full.

3. Then I place the map in the maps folder of halo as you would if you were playing a mod. And I have no problems.
Stupid tinypic removing my images

Only differences are that it's not on the desktop, but I wouldn't think that would make a difference, and that I edit the map and change it back to demo before playing. Other than that, I have your process to the letter :D.

This sounds great. Now just find someone to import my models and that would be great!

Yes, I believe the maps I am editing have the Bitmaps.map in the same folder.
