And make new maps with? Or at least edit BG
Seeing as that handy dandy export BSP feature is there,
but no import bsp option

i bet you could, but it would be like editing a model of a warthog. The collision of the original model is still there and uneditable without HEK... But it would be cool to make artificial "walls" in front of bases that you could pass through. Who knows what you might find on the other side.

an excellent concept... mwa, hah, hah.
Edit the bsp, turn it into an object, and import it into a rock. I thought forsure I came upon something the other day in eschaton relating to its collision (or was that a projectile?) that might be used to merely superimpose another map onto bloodgulch using a bit of scen or even a proj.

I've considered this, and right now can't say for sure about changing the bsp. From what I can discern from the SE source (the stuff by gren that bob left in there), it looks like the collision and visual aspects are different. Which would make making a new one particularly difficult. Basically, the collision is in a tree structure (well no crap, BSP afterall) with all of its offsets as translations rather than absolutes. Where as the visible meshes are just lots of model data. It would be possible to import remodels, but they wouldn't have any effect on the collision. And of course I'd have to write something that would parse .obj correctly while testing to make sure it doesn't have any extra verts and inds (also probably separating the .objs produced with export to differentiate between meshes which store their data in different sections).
This is mostly theory.

Neither. I just don't like people who talk things up for attention and then never produce.

So not cynical or world weary, just intolerant of failure. I get it.
He lol. I think that Tyler does produce quite a lot- look at his conversions.
