ive been trying to skin the teleporter but which bitmap do i skin i managed to skin the receiver teleport thing but not the teleporter at the base. if u know what its called in hmt please tell me :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

It's called "teleporter base."

he's talking about the bitmaps that the teleporter shield scex uses.


uhm.. i dont remember they right now, but if you go with a dependecy swapper inside that tag, you will be able to read they.

uhm

open your map in HMT by making it's header full. (use Demo Hack)

open the dependecy swapper by hitting +D, and go in scex tags.

highlight the teleport shield tag, and here you are! there will be the bitmaps that you need.

import the texture you want the color to be, i believe

now that you know what texture you want to edit, open the map in HMT and click the bitm tags carrot.

highlight that bitmap, hit the "preview" button, and then the "export" button.

save the file somewhere and edit it with a photo-editing application (like photoshop or gimp).


when your bitmap is ready, hit the "inject" button. a window will come out.

drag the new bitmap inside that window, and click "inject".

after a minute or so, HMT will crash. it means that the bitmap is imported properly.


...for a better explanation, go here. (i really must finish that tutorial...)

If you ever change the Scex, take my advice. Do it on a computer with Full shaders.
