Need Help For Importing Pelican on HHK

ok...i put the b30.map and bloodgulch.map file to "full".

I extracted the recursive meta of just the Pelican from the b30.map, and saved it in a file on my desktop.

Then when i try to put the rest of the Pelican in the "full" bloodgulch.map, after i have imported the .vehi file, there are a bunch of notifications that appear, and say: "AN ERROR OCCURED, Failed to open the meta file: /Users/********/Desktop/vehicles/pelican/pelican.mod2, then more . whatever failures.

How Do I Fix This?

you are selecting the wrong second file, you know how you exported into a file (file X), and you know how you have to select to things when you import, well you have to select the pelican.vehi and then on the second select you have to select "file X", that should fix it

ok let me try to help, try this.


go to where you put all the peli tags you exported.(hopfully recursivlly) lets call that folder "folder x"

so

folder x>vehicles>pelican>pelican.vehi

then in the next window select folder x, and then hit ok.

ok that make sense/help at all?

well, i made the folder and i selected the .vehi thing first, then when i try importing the rest of the whole ______folder, the error thing pops up.

I used Demo Hack 3.0 to convert my b30 and bloodgulch.map to full...

w4rturtle, you must be selecting the wrong folder, are you making folder X on your desktop? or are you making it in another folder and then selecting the folder folder X is in? you need to select the folder with the folder

weapons
sound
vehicles
characters
effects
camera
levels
scenery


sorry... im not gonna clear this up because my sidekick "i'm a pretty girl" AKA "DanDan" will come and clear it up soon :P

I'm selecting the BIG folder that i created, which has all the little folders inside it!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for my 2nd thing to open recursively)

The only thing i didn't do in the steps was copying the first 800 bytes of b30 and bloodgulch.map...But the whole purpose of this is to make the files "full" right? I made them full using Demo Hack 3.0.

Could that be a problem?

yes demo hack did the header for you, but wait, are you saving your files to folder X inside folder Y and then for your second select selecting folder Y? because if you are you need to select folder X

im not selecting a folder first for importing, im selecting the .vehi file....then i select the folder where saved all the extracted meta folders.

i'm talking about importing the .meta file, which I saved the BIG folder(a.k.a. folder Y). What is folder X???...the vehicles folder?

ok... so you opened b30.map in HHK... you recrusivly exported it into folder X (which i think is inside folder Y [the big folder])

then when you import, open bloodgulch.map and you have to select the .vehi file and then select the folder X...

if your doing the .meta...

then you have to open the b30.map in HMT, go to the mod2's and select the pelican mod2 and click export meta, export it to folder Y, the big folder...
then click save raw and select the folder Y, the big folder, or save it to the vehicle folder you just made...

then open bloodgulch.map in HMT, go to the mod2's and select the pelican mod2 and click inject meta, select the .meta, next click append raw and select the .vertices and the .indeces that you just saved to you folder Y, or your vehicle folder, which ever you chose, then click things rapidly until HMT quits...

then open it in eschaton and swap it with another vehicle in scnr

ok, w4rturt1e, we need to know if you are doing the meta(in HMT) or the impoting tags(HHK). and this is taking a hell of a long time because we suck at explaning...so im just going to do it and upload the map with the pelican in it. ok? tell me if you want to.
