Halo Demo Mods
Moderator: Halo Moderators
I have AIM/iChat and would actually like to talk with other modders. I was about to ask ambrosia in a game, but the server closed and ambrosia didn't appear elsewhere. Regarding times (The Netherlands=CET=+0100), well, currently my sleep scheme is a bit of a mess, so you can potentially find me at any time. Note that I'm not often logged into AIM, but I'll probably do that more often now.
Hey, Jon, I'm interested in talking with you about the Hexeditor and basics for its modding. I've got the idea about how to navigate through it, but not how to find what you want to change, and what you then change.
I've modded Battlefield 1942 before and understand some of the basics, but I was using a code extractor, which made it very simple.
I might be able to reach you through Dark Angelus as he and I constantly play together online.

I haven't been apart of this conversation so I don't know how much you guys have done...
But I'd just like to say, be careful in how many mods are created (Both really excelent or horrible). BF1942 Demo for mac has only one way of being played in Multiplayer, and that is through GameRanger; but the only way to play through GameRanger is if you pay 50$ for premium (in the end, if you just want to play BF1942, it'd save you money to buy the -actual- game). This is because everyone was modding BF1942D like mad.
So I congraduate you guys and girls for creating mods, but I warn you to not go drastically overboard.

Heh, it has a GameSpy built in, along with ip join games in the demo, so even if gameranger does stop hosting it, you can still play online.Selix wrote:I haven't been apart of this conversation so I don't know how much you guys have done...

Basicly I like modding the demo because people on GameRanger play it, I don't like the people on gamespy that much, but there are almost no people playing Halo full version on GameRanger.
Anyway, I'm working on a funmod right now, weeeeeee, a few things you'll see in game ^_^
