i think snipers (if they are going to be head shot able) should...

1. have less ammo

2. have zoom

3. not be automatic

erm... that kills my weapon... I am doing a AR sniper which fires fully Automatic sniper rounds which do barely any damage unless they headshot you, and yes. Its a sniper AR.

EDIT: but if its a sniper it shouldnt be automatic, and automatic headshotting weapon=unfair

EDIT: It has not much more headshot damage though. It will be fun to play with coz you can either sit back and snipe or run in and kill all

if its not completely long range than its not a sniper thus not head shot able

ok no offense, but this sounds kinda gay... headshotting automatic sniper assault rifles.... come on guys, that sounds a bit noobish dont you think?

anyway yes there are automatic sniper riffles well not really sniper riffles but there .50cal machine guns they shoot the same bullets snipers shoot armor piercing

Yeah. Ain't is not a word, as I myself have pointed out on occasion. But I use it just the same. Sift through my posts and you'll probably see me calling people out when they get their spelling and/or grammar mixed up by saying "(insert mistake here) ain't a word."

Anyhoo...

My weapon is a sniper rifle, yet it's automatic, I have not given it zoom, and it does not do headshots.

*shrug* The way I see it, people, is if someone makes something too cheap, we'll just find out during the actual tournament, now won't we?

Tyler-Shutup, lol. *Ahem* I think if headshots are allowed then there should be rules along the line of:

1.) No More than 4 Shots a Round
2.) Maybe set a distance limit so there is no Cross-Map Snipes?
3.) No Zoom- Once again referring to the Cross-Map Kills...
4.) No Auto-Fire
5.) Less Camping more Action- This is a weapon Compitition not a Sniper upgrades contest!

(As a side note- Can't we be more creative than an Assault-Sniper?)

EDIT: Kayar- I wrote the post before I saw your post. I'm not refering to you as it may seem for many of the things said in this post.

The map uses a small-ish (still big enough for snipes) enclosed arena space which contestants must teleport to when they respawn.

all i can say is.... i don't feel like being noobed in a tournament game... its one thing to get owned by someone better or worse than you.... but theres nothing worse than to get noobed by some overrated overpowered noob gun.

I have a sniper weapon that is semi-automatic, has two levels of zoom, never needs to be reloaded (Though it complies to the 200 round rule), shoots 1 projectile (now), and is able to make headshots.

However, I'd love to see a picture or two of the map we will be playing on so I can decide whether or not the weapon is even useful on such a map. Would that be possible, Kayar?

Snipes would be unfair to Front lines weapons. (Like Mine.) Is this fight going to be one on one or a total slayer match?
