I just had an amazing idea. Ok, so you take a wep and set it up like the tractor beam thingy. Then you make the trigger/firing effect/whatever have force and range. When you shoot something, it will pull the thing in towards you, until it hits the range of the trigger effect. The two should cancel eachother out, and hold the item in place (like a halflife grav gun). I'm gonna try it in a little bit :D

The tractor beam has already edited the force, or are you talking about a gun that shoots two different beams?

Ok, when the gun gets fired, there is a bunch of stuff that happens. The projectile jpt! is what happens to whatever the projectile hits, the trigger jpt! is what happens to you when you shoot, and the firing effect is what happens to the gun when you shoot. I'm going to tie in an unused jpt! tag (probably needler trigger) to the firing effect. After editing it, there will be essentially a bubble of force around your bipd. Now, the tractor beam will pull an object up to that bubble, at which point the two will cancel out. I'm hoping that when this happens, the grappled item will be held in the air.

That should work, but you would have to increase the radius of the damage effect right? That would certainly have an interesting effect to anything near you.

dude, basicly all it is is a tractor beam with some cool ring like projectile, you do know this is just basicly the Working Tractor Beam Mod, but more laggy, and different use of bitmaps

EDIT: OH MY FUCKING GOD, THIS IS SO FREACKING AWSOME! When they mentioned to not being able to do the telikenesis gun mod, you just came up with something very close, I prase you know, with all of the other all mighty modders
EDIT2: dude, you could use this as a science project, you just aced video gaming and science! (I never knew that was posible! :shock: )
EDIT3: ok, 2 things:
1) I think the trigger's effect is a little so spread out
2) I could drag the hog while I was in the passenger seat! XD

Rofl, it is pretty roxorz, isn't it? Ahaha, I remember seeing a topic about the half life grav gun a while ago. I think either shadow or alitimit said that it could only have been done with CE. lawl.

No, I didn't make it in CE. And I can't change the the trigger's wideness, since I can only edit radius.
